The Numbers Tell the Story - My Life as a Biggest Loser update!

Starting Week 9 of the journey - and the proof is in the numbers... but I'm not just talking about the scale.  I'm only down 12 pounds in 8 weeks.  BUT - today we did our fitness test.  The fitness test is comprised of several components: a one mile run, full sit-ups, push-ups, hover (think push-up stance - except resting on your elbows - for as long as you can), AND a wall-sit.

The first week of the challenge, here were my results:
Walk/Run 1 mile - 12:40 (min:sec)
Push-ups in 1 min- 18 on my toes 12 on my knees
Full-ups in 1 min - 36
Wall-sit - 1:38
Hover - 1:07

Today - here were my numbers:

Walk/Run 1 mile - 9:04 (min:sec)

Push-ups in 1 min- 30 on my toes 5 on my knees
Full-ups in 1 min - 37
Wall-sit -3:15
Hover -2 min

Not too shabby!!  So - we are in the final four weeks.  I have a few goals:
  • Lose 8 pounds
  • Eat clean
  • Keep learning how to make this work long-term
The past couple weeks have been tough.  I hit a plateau and the scale didn't move for almost 2.5 weeks.  It was such a mental challenge to press on doing what I knew I was supposed to do and trust the process.  About a week ago, the scale started moving again!

What makes me a little nervous is life after group workouts.  The camaraderie and accountability push and challenge me.  But - that's four weeks from now!
